Add a New Page to Your WordPress Website
1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

2. Once inside the dashboard, under “Pages” click on “Add New”. If “Add New” is not visible, when you hover over “Pages” a drop-down arrow will appear. Click it in order to see “Add New”.

3. Enter the page title in the appropriate box.

4. The page title that you enter in #3 above will automatically appear in your menu bar.
Options
- If you prefer to have your new page appear in a drop-down menu under one of your existing pages, on the right had side under “Page Attributes”, “Parent”, choose the page that you would like to have it appear under.
- If you don’t want it to appear in the menu at all, on the right hand side under “Publish” you may choose “Private” by clicking “Edit” next to “Visibility” on the right hand side.
- Alternatively, you may also choose “Password protected” if you want someone to have to enter a password to view the page. You can select the password in the drop-down box below it.
- If want your page to be public, but not appear in the menu bar, there is a great plugin called “Exclude Pages from Navigation”. You can install it from your “Plugins” directory on the left hand side. After you activate it, you will see an item called “Exclude Pages” in your dashboard on the right hand side of each individual page. It is checked by default. Uncheck the box in order to have it removed from your menu bar. If you are unsure how to add a plugin, see my “add plugin guide”.
5. When you are satisfied with your setup, click the “Publish” button on the right hand side of the page. To see your changes, navigate to your website and view the page. You may need to click “Refresh” on your browser to see the latest changes.
Tip – Keep 2 tabs open on your browser window while you’re working on your site. One tab for your WordPress dashboard and another for your live site. It’s a convenient way to click back and forth between them when you are fine-tuning the look of your page. If you’re not sure how to open a second tab, google “open tab in browser, browser name”. For “browser name” substitute in the name of your browser
